| Hello,
I'm Jim MacLean, I am the
Senior Counselor here at the
Serenity Ranch. I have a
Bachelor of Social Work and
over ten years experience
working with people in
addictions. I am also a
recovering alcoholic and drug
addict. I feel my position
here is rewarding and I enjoy
playing a part in the
beginning of, as well as the
continuing journey into
recovery of our clients here
at the Serenity Ranch.

I'm
Peggy Anonson, my
background is in Counseling
Addictions Training and the
Advanced Counselor Training
from the Nechi Institute in
St. Alberta, AB. I also have
many years of personal healing
work, counseling and giving
support for groups with
Insight Counseling Inc. in
Calgary, Kelowna and
Invermere, B.C. I have also
been involved with AA and
Al-Anon groups as well. I love
my job here at the center. I
feel that to be able to be a
part of the truly miraculous
transformations that we
regularly get to see happen
here, is a great honor and a
very rewarding experience.
(And especially for the
families that get to have
their loved one back healthy
and whole again.) I am proud
to say I think our team does a
great job in accomplishing
that!

Hello,
My name is Pam, I have
been at Serenity Ranch since
September 2009. I am so
grateful to be here the
miracles that happen here on a
daily basis are incredible, to
say the least. I have been in
recovery for 4 years and have
taken my roll to help other
addicts seriously. I returned
to school to become a Life
Skills Coach and a
Relationship Trainer. In June
2010 I'm hoping to continue my
education at Nechi Aboriginal
Addiction Training Institute
while still working here at
the Ranch. I consider my life
to be an endless journey. I
may hit a few bumps on the
way, but learning as I go and
Thanking God every step of the
way.

Welcome,
I'm Jim Gray, the owner of
the Serenity Ranch. I'm a
recovering alcoholic and
decided to start the center
after one of my sons was in a
collision with an impaired
driver. My hope is that we can
help addicts to see how there
actions affect so many people’s
lives. My hope is to send home
better husbands, fathers and
employees so that in the
future another parent will not
receive the call I did.

I'm
Steven MacCuaig and I
became the Executive Director
of Serenity Ranch in June
2009. My road to Serenity
Ranch has been an interesting
one. I grew up in Southern
Ontario, and as a teenager,
felt called by God to become a
pastor. After a Bachelor and
Masters degree, and 18 plus
years in pastoral ministry in
a church, God has brought me
to Serenity Ranch, where I
still get to minister, just
not in a church setting.
While, I am not in the program
of AA or NA, I have a deep
burden for those that Jesus
called oppressed. In my role
here at the Ranch, I can use
my administrative gifts,
vision for the future and the
relational coaching skills
that I have, to good use.
Every day, I believe is a gift
from God and I am thankful for
each day and the miracles that
I get to see at the Ranch
every day.

I'm
Willi Tanner,
Switzerland
is where I was born and when I
finished my apprenticeship to
become a Chef I moved to
Thunder Bay, Canada and
pursued my career. I moved to
Calgary to work in the Four
Seasons Hotel and many other
fine dining restaurants. I
have had the experience of
owning my own restaurants in
Calgary. Canmore, AB. was my
last home before I found
recovery. In March, 2008 I
received treatment at Serenity
Ranch. After treatment I
traveled and enjoyed some time
off. Jim Gray asked me if I
could do some night shift
work, but the kitchen was
where my heart was. I have a
gift to share and enjoy my
recovery doing what I do best,
being a Chef. Everyday I look
forward to working with my colleagues
and cooking for the
participants. Today I can
appreciate where I work, meet
new people and for this I am
truly grateful.

Davis Gray - Night
Supervisor
I’m
Davis Gray, the owner Jim
Gray’s eldest son. I’ve
been working a Serenity ranch
since February 2009. I am
married and have one a
daughter and another baby in
the way. I work the graveyard
shifts here 1 to 9 am. I cook
breakfast every week day, and
talk to any of our clients if
they are having trouble
sleeping. In the short time
that I have worked here I have
seen many people come through
the program and I am always
amazed at the transformation
that happens to all who choose
to work the program. When my
father told me that he had
bought a prison (the site used
to be a work-release facility)
I thought he’d gone crazy.
When he told me what he
intended to do with it, It
only reinforced this thought.
But when he told me why he
decided to do it I was proud
of him, and knew he would
succeed in his vision. My
youngest brother was hit head
on by a drunk driver, spent
month’s in the hospital, and
shook our whole family HARD.
If what we do here prevents
only one other family from
going through the pain of
having a loved one injured,
due to the demons of
addiction, then we have done
our jobs well.
